Let’s celebrate Thanksgiving with Gratitude Stones
Materials required: small, flat stones & paints/ colour pens
Time required: Approximately 40 minutes
Ages: 4 years & up
Thanksgiving is marked as a national holiday on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. This day celebrates the harvest and other blessings of the past year and has many legends and rituals attached to its name. Additionally, a traditional Thanksgiving meal typically includes turkey, bread stuffing, potatoes, cranberries, and pumpkin pie. It is one of the busiest holidays as families get together and celebrate this day with a hearty meal.
Since thanksgiving is all about spending time with your loved ones and giving thanks, the best way you can celebrate it with your child is to do a fun, gamified gratitude activity with them.

1)Collect 5-10 stones – either buy them from a store or collect them from a garden. Make sure they are child safe and do not have any pointed edges.
2)Spend about 10-15 minutes painting or colouring these stones with your child. This serves as a good creativity activity.
3)Once done, hide the stones all around the house. Tell your child that he/she has to find the stones and as and when they find stones, they have to tell you 1 thing that they are grateful for in their lives!
This is such a wonderful & fun activity and can even be repeated as a weekly exercise to instill a strong sense of gratitude & positivity in your children from a very young age.
