‘I love you to pieces’ Valentine’s Day activity

Ages: 6 & up

Materials required:

A4 sheets of blank paper,

Red & Black felt pen

Red paper/red tape

1)Take an A4 sheet of paper and draw in a red heart that is covering most of the paper. Reference image is given below. In the space that is left, write down ‘I love you to pieces!’

Make about 3 of these templates for your child to use.

2)Cut out little rectangular chits from the red paper or tape that you have.

3) Ask your child to chose 3 people in their lives who they love to pieces! If they want to chose more than 3, let them and make the number of templates accordingly!

4)For every person, ask them the qualities that they love about them. If your child is old enough to write it, make them write 1 quality per red chit. If not, let them dictate it to you and you write it down on the chits for them. Qualities such as ‘caring’, ‘helpful’, ‘happy’ ‘loving’- you can help them when needed.

5) Once done, take glue and make them stick all the red chits with the qualities inside the heart drawn.

6) Make them give this Valentines day card to the people whom they have chosen! And ask them how they felt by expressing their love towards their loved ones ☺
